About

From Albuquerque to the World—and Back Again

Building legacy through acquisitions, data, and discipline.

Origin

Where I'm From

I'm Brian Eckerson, and I was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I spent my formative years fishing the state's rivers and reservoirs, camping in the high country along the northern Colorado border, and developing a deep connection to the Land of Enchantment's landscapes and culture.

After graduating from the University of New Mexico in 1987 with a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force, I spent the next two decades serving my country in intelligence and operational roles across the globe. That journey took me to Germany (1999–2002 on active duty), through complex missions in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and eventually back to Europe in 2012 as a government contractor supporting EUCOM operations.

Today, I serve as Head of Technical Integrations for 3GIMBALS LLC, integrating advanced data science and geospatial intelligence into multinational operations. But after more than three decades abroad and in service, I'm preparing to come home.

Purpose

Why I'm Coming Back

My planned return to New Mexico in the next 2–3 years is about reconnection—with family, with friends, and with the Southwest culture that shaped me. It's also about building something enduring.

Sisu Legacy Ventures represents the convergence of everything I've learned: strategic analysis, rigorous due diligence, stakeholder coordination, and the ability to execute complex initiatives under pressure. These skills, honed over 35+ years in military, intelligence, and private sector operations, translate directly to identifying and acquiring resilient real estate assets. New Mexico is where I'm building the foundation, but SLV isn't limited by geography. Registered in Florida and open to opportunities nationwide, we'll invest wherever sound fundamentals and strategic vision align.

Philosophy

Why Land Investing

Land is finite. Well-chosen land appreciates. And unlike businesses or stocks, land doesn't require constant management—it rewards patient, strategic ownership.

But land investing also rewards those who can navigate complexity: zoning issues, environmental considerations, water rights, mineral conveyances, wildlife habitat regulations. These aren't obstacles—they're filters that keep competition low and opportunities available for those willing to do the work.

That's where SLV operates. We focus on properties with inherent value that others overlook because of perceived complexity. Our edge is rigorous analysis, boots-on-the-ground verification, and the discipline to walk away when the numbers don't work. And while land is the current focus, SLV is open to capital ventures and existing business acquisitions that meet our criteria: fundamentally sound, strategically positioned, and built to endure.
